Israel has no unique cultural identity. It's artificial.

Israel has a right defend itself against the 1,000's of rockets Hamas is lobbing over the border. Period. Civilians die in war, it's part of it.

The Palestinian rockets are about as harmless to Israelis as firecrackers are to Americans on Independence Day.

The iron dome prevents any rockets from ever reaching an Israeli citizen. In fact, not one Israeli has been killed in this conflict by a rocket.

Netanyahu is a sociopath aiming to exterminate the remainder of the Gazans and literally push them into the sea.

So if someone has a shitty gun, they won't be charged with attempted murder if the gun misfires when they attempt to shoot someone.

There are some amazing mental gymnasts here.

Actually the West created Israel and, therefore, created the problem.

But the West also created Iraq, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon in the Middle East.

It is what it is now, and to say that Israel is not a legitimate nation and should just cave in to the Palestinians (which btw never became a nation) when Jordan, Syria and the others are legitimate nations.

We all know the nations we see today are the result of several wars. People have to learn to live in peace and respect each other or there is going to continue to be trouble.

And it's not just fighting between the Jews and the Palestinians, you have civil wars in Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria too.

Behaving like the Jews are the ones causing all the problems in the ME is very narrow minded.

Do you really believe that? If that's what he wanted to do he would do it and no one would be able to stop except for the United States.

It takes a monumentally stupid people to keep throwing these ineffectual "firecrackers" at a group that is able and willing to kick your arse.

Perhaps these dumbasses cheated evolution.

You confuse me sir. If Palestine is not a nation, why do they own the land?

Most groups do this when they want independence and freedom. Is there any nobler cause to die for than freedom?

The Palestinians repeatedly launch rockets at Israel HOPING one gets through and kills as many Israelis as possible.

It's no difference than a perp who is repeatedly firing at police faces retaliation even though he is a bad shot and keeps missing his targets.

It would be ludicrous for Israel to sit back, rely on their iron dome and let Hamas keep firing rockets.

Uh. They found some yesterday.

But that's just according to UN.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has expressed his outrage over rockets found in a UN-administered school in Gaza, calling for a full review of the incident which he said could turn schools into "potential military targets" and endanger lives of innocent children.

You probably believe that Hamas has never used hospitals, schools or mosques to store weapons or fire from.

Private land and house ownership under the British empire. Someone can't own land or a house if they are a colony?

The board does not support anyone. Board users support various causes.

As for me personally, I support Israel because once the Balfour Declaration was issued, and the League of Nations ratified the idea of a Jewish homeland in Mandatory Palestine, there was an obligation to do so. The history of Mandatory Palestine, and the holocaust, gave ample evidence that a two state solution was necessary.

Do I like the fact that Arabs were ejected from Israel? No, but that doesn't mean I can't accept the necessity of it from the Israelis perspective. The Jews were attacked by Arabs before they were Israelis, and the moment they declared themselves Israelis they were attacked by their Arab neighbors once again. Since then the Israelis have made peace with some of their neighbors, and Israel has honored the terms of those treaties. The Israelis have made offers of peace to their remaining neighbors, but those offers have been rejected by enemies who refuse to recognize Israel's right to exist.

Key word there
Israel isn't allowing journalists in Gaza.
