at the beach it is easy to breakout my much-hyped reggae collection

if you are serious, post some from that list. I've been working on a beach list too and my reggae collection only has about 5 marley songs

I'll hit you with some reggae as well when I'm not mobile. I had a huge reggae phase of my life.

One really interesting artist is Linton Kwesi Johnson.

Just play classic rock and funk. Stick to the staples:
Led Zeppelin
Lynard Skynard
Black Sabbath
Van Hallen
CCR
Chicago
Earth Wind and Fire
Tower of Power
The Doors
The Rollin' Stones
The Band
Rush
Allman Bros
ACDC
Black Crowes
Bon Jovi
Journey
Boston
GNR
ect

Carry on.

Happens to me every year at the beach with my in-laws. My family is the complete opposite and will listen to anything, but play something a little out of the mainstream around my wife's family, and the bitching begins.

Yeah, you guys think I'm trolling because I told him to play Drake. Listen to the radio you idiots he's on every station because people like him, unless everyone in the family Is 40 years old there are most likely some younger people who all love Drake.

You can argue the radio is "bad" music but it's the most popular therefore it's what most people in his family would most likely enjoy

If this is the case, just put it on the local rock station.
