I mean closely related. Not just distantly. Like, are you related to someone famous and they come to family parties and shite?

Me? No I am not.

My sister in law's first cousin is married to Channing Tatum. I've never met him but my brother has hung out with them for a family dinner.

For any fans of the Shield, Catherine Dent (from BR, btw) is my cousin/godmother. She's been in a ton of other shite as well, pretty much every show in the 90s/2000s as a guest

My uncle a dude named Bobby Helms who is now dead, wrote "jingle bell rock" ....my aunt still makes a decent living off the royalties....we had to watch his Ed sullivan appearances every christmas, he got mad if you took his dirty santa present, usually a worthless trinket, but otherwise a great guy

Reba McEntire is my 4th cousin. We share the same set of great great great GPs. Never met her and probably never will.

My wife's mom is from Seviereville, TN and is Dolly Partons 2nd cousin. They share the same great GPs and grew up together. Been married to my wife for 12 years and have met her on 3 occasions, most recently at a funeral in Seviereville a few weeks ago. Free passes to Dollyworld and The Dixie Stampede are our perks with that connection. Woo hoo.....right!

Oh yeah. My great great great great uncle is Francis Scott Key. His grandma was Born Mary Key. She married my great x5 GF, Matthias Chitwood.
