it is illegal to wear those medals and lie about how you got them.

If someone asks you if they are your medals and you tell them that are, or if you tell them that you are in the millitary while you are in uniform and you aren't, If you are wearing name tapes, medals, or insignias and saying you are in whatever they signify you are involved in, then yes it is a federal crime.

eta: he also impersonated an MP and threatened to make an arrest

Wrong
The law amends the federal criminal code to make it a crime for a person to fraudulently claim having received any of a series of particular military decorations with the intention of obtaining money, property, or other tangible benefit from convincing someone that he or she rightfully did receive that award.

I would have at least bumped up to E-5 for Pete's sake.

In all honesty I was offered a direction commission by the higher ups and I took it. Then those frickers told me I would have to be gone to OBC for like 4 months or some ridiculous shite like that. I couldn't leave my business for that amount of time.

If he was drunk and high he couldn't have messed up that uniform any worse. Ribbons (all out of order) mixed with medals. That beret (thank you GEN (Ret) Shinseki). Officer branch insignia (on the lapels). Marksmanship badges and SF tab. Dude went to Ranger Joes and got his moneys worth.

Looks sloppy to me, but I didn't know that it was inappropriate to wear ribbons and medals at the same time. I always find these uniform compliance and/or military lingo threads fascinating.

I didn't actually know that some of my ribbons had an accompanying medal with them until I lost some and ordered more through whatever website it is. National Records send you to this website, they verify what you are authorized to wear and they mail you the ribbons and medals.

All you want to know about how to wear a uniform and what is or isn't allowed.

Army

Your answer would be in 22–7.

"Personnel will not wear service and training ribbons
when full-sized decorations and service medals are worn. "

Dude was an absolute soup sandwich at a minimum should have done his homework if he wanted to impersonate. A retard could glance at the salad bowl and call bullshite.

I'll add one more thing. They sent the ribbons and medals free. No charge to me whatsoever. I was impressed.

Same here. I was looking to get just one replaced because it was torn at the top and they sent me everything on my DD-214.

Wow! Master Jumper, very impressed. I was close to a senior, never jump mastered a stick and was short somewhere else too but I forget what it was.

Sorry bro, bummer.

It is a combination of night AJ (the hard one to get - was fortunate to get mine with 3rd SFG), MASTAC and CE jumps. Sixty-five total for master parachutist.

Believe it or not, I went to 82nd AAS as a LTC. Everyone in my class was looking at me like "Hey sir, how many times have you failed this class?"

Being in the harness in the circle absolutely smoked me (47 at the time). Not a gentleman's course, no matter what people say.

Or uscav.com, etc., whatever outlet he frequents.

Him not knowing AR 670-1 was the when it really, really turned against him - although it wasn't going well before.

My kind of people. I do the Army side of AE (leading in) so I love me some ASTS/AES. Will be training with the 167th (WV ANG) in January at Fort AP Hill.

Always loved the wide eyed looks from AF personnel(not crew chief - just other people in the back) when the crew chief threw the door up, did his checks and then said "Army, your door."

I've attended numerous LAARNG Enlisted Conferences over the last 10+ years. You wouldn't believe what I've seen on the CSMs that were promoted in the "good ole boy" network.

I don't know who you are referring to, but being promoted to the position of CSM also entails doing the schooling necessary to maintain the rank at regular Army facilities. One of the best soldiers I have ever served with was a CSM with the Guard. The General who was my commanding officer as a light colonel is a good man as well. My Captain is now liaison for UN forces Europe, so I disagree.
