I would like to know the thought process in the LSU Athletic Department.

Seems like anything they touch, they screw up!

Would be nice if the athletic dept had a couple sessions asking the public to attend for feedback. They can talk about parking, fees, construction, etc..

There were more fans attending games 3-4 years ago and not nearly the traffic congestion. Now there are less fans but traffic congestion so bad fans just turn around and go home.

The $40 parking was the beginning of the end and not well planned or thought out. A blanket parking fee of $20 for everyone would have netted LSU more money and most people would be for it.

If you have a specific complaint, email the Athletic Department. Parking close to campus is expensive at all SEC venues.

As long as people are paying to have those spots, they will still be reserved.

When the majority of the spaces stay empty i don't think it matters.

Also, who gives a shot what other sec campuses do. It obviously is not working here.

If these close to campus parking spots are always so empty, then how is that making the traffic worse?

I don't think the paid parking lots have anything to do with the traffic issues after games.

I enjoyed the interview. They are sticking opposing fans up in the nose bleeds.

About time. Opposing fans have had too much of a presence in TS for too long.

I was listening live to this and I'll say it...I've been hard on Alleva over the years, but he really has a done a good job as AD, the Trent hire notwithstanding.
He's improved most of the facilities with others in the works (just broke ground on one for gymnastics). And he shells out for top dollar assistants in the big 3 sports that lead to continued success. Overall, I've grown to appreciate him

given trent's resume and the fact that Alleva had just been hired as AD and had no idea that he would clash with the lsu basketball culture, he should get a pass on that.

That's a hindsight criticism... Everyone was all over Trent when he was at Stanford.

True, and he'd just gotten here at the time but a blemish on his record nonetheless especially given he came from the basketball mecca Duke. The JJ hire is well on it's way to making up for that though

Meh, I blame TJ for that - not Alleva.

I don't know what deal Trent made with the devil to get the Stanford job, but he obviously did something right for Beelzebub, as he was apparently released from the contract.

It may not match perfectly and I do not like some of the sez expansion but he really has improved tiger stadium tremendously. The broken windows looked like crap for decades before anyone did anything.

I see he's doing a bang up job over in Fort Worth

It happens though, not every hot coaching prospect pans out. Hell, look at Muschamp. I do give Alleva (and Miles) full credit for somehow bringing in and keeping Chavis and Cam though. That's still unreal.

Yeah, I was like "Hell yeah, LSU is rid of Trent Johnson"!

Then I was like, "Wait, where's he going"?
