Hueys is popular and I went there because some fellow CHS grads opened it up, but I was not a fan.

I'm always bored as shite there, and for a place that considers itself a cocktail bar, they make all of their cocktails wrong.

I only went a few times while underage because I didn't like it. Always had drinks taken.. was always slammed.. etc.

Also the night I drank half a drink before it got taken from me and suddenly I was passed out in Brag's car and he had to place me in the tub because I was half asleep and half puking up blood.

I don't mind it now though

Free drinks is legit. I went last Thursday and was the only person in the bar (with my best friend). $5 cover and free anything. Once our free drinks ended, we were shithoused and the place filled up with people.

City bar is downtown BR. You only pay cover if you are under 21 and the cover is like 20 bucks. That's why I was confused.

Why did they move this

The BR City Bar is derived from the Laffy one. Same owners. Totally different concept though.

I started a thread about FQ daiquirs a few months back. Didn't they serve food at one point or another?

Fred's fits your subscription perfectly. Shitty bar with even worse clientele, thrives on its name and history alone. By far the worst tigerland bar.

I get creeped out by that place and I've never been in there for more than 2 minutes to buy a daiquiri and leave

So what you're saying is that for our drinking culture, Baton Rouge has the worst bar scene in the sec?

You'd probably be right.

That's definitely not true. We're no Athens though

I think Athens, Fayetteville, nashville, Tuscaloosa, and Oxford are all better.

We're better than Auburn, Knoxville, Gainesville, and College Station.

I've never been to Starkville or Columbia.

Baton Rouge is really weak considering its population

College station actually has a cool Northgate area. Outside of that though that city sucks

I really enjoyed their bars too. They just lack volume in a big way. Pretty bizarre they have 50k students and so few bars.
