Yeah, you are correct, he didn't attack me with his stinger. But that stinger he's got hurt like hell.

Ever break open a dirt dauber nest? They're full of paralyzed spiders. They definitely sting, but they aren't as aggressive as red wasps, yellow jackets, hornets, etc.
