Schadenfreude is not the same as claiming responsibility.

And this is why the West is pro-Israeli. We don't view the kidnapping and murders of teens as an appropriate object of schadenfreude.

We are pro-Israel because our "funding" goes straight to the pockets of U.S. military hardware contractors and funds AIPAC. It also gives us an excuse for hegemony in the area. Oil companies are feeling the pain of losing the Shah as their puppet and they're chomping at the bit for a war with Iran. And it's not satisfying enough for them to have Saudi Arabia filling that role.

It's about corporate dominance. It doesn't help lower prices of oil one bit. It's about monopolizing the market and only makes it more expensive.

You can cynically argue this for the elites and the war machine. But it's not true of "hoi polloi" of America. We are fair-minded. We hate seeing innocents killed. It's our Enlightenment roots. So, when a Hamas official gets on TV and celebrates the kidnapping and murder of 3 teenagers as a great heroic action, we think Frick Hamas. And I think we should think that.

Wait a 15 yr old kid that has a cousin 16 yrs old that was murdered in retaliation for 3 dead Israelis is saying he was just there watching a protest for his cousin. Hahahaha.

And I'm supposed to even care more because that Arab has U.S. citizenship. Hahahaha. I mean hey, it's not like U.S. Arabs want to annihilate Israel or anything. Hahahaha.

I'm NOT for it. I think the U.S. needs to stay out of wars in the ME. I despise what's going on. That's why I wish we weren't funding any part of it including funding the Palestinians. Guess who's for funding the Palestinians in that area (Hamas)... AIPAC.
LINK
We're funding both sides when we shouldn't even be a part of the equation.

Do you really think the Israelis are any better when it comes this? Are you aware of the fact that a member of the Knesset praised the immolation of the Palestinian kid?

And by "dangerous situation" you mean a situation where some Muslims will indiscriminately kill women and children because of an ideological conflict, sometimes with bare hands or knives up close, sometimes with rockets from afar. Yes. It is dangerous.

Are you really that dense that you can't comprehend why settlers are the object of so much anger and resentment among a Palestinian population that were forcibly removed from their property by the IDF because the weren't Jewish?

What's your point? There shouldn't be any members if the Israelis are as morally superior as you folks say they are.

I understand why they're mad. I just don't view killing children as a justifiable response or appropriate response. Is that dense? If you think it is appropriate, you probably have some skin the game (so to speak).

Did you not read my earlier post where I said that the children of settlers are innocent victims?

Well either you delusional or ignorant. The settlers are every bit as violent, fanatical and intolerant as Al Qaeda is.

I think they're all sort of a bunch of assholes, but I don't go around making a big deal out of what one dude says if he isn't No. 1.

But you still understand why people kill those innocent victims. That's where we part ways.

Violent? So they're making incursions into the neighboring country and killing kids? I don't doubt that they're as fanatical and intolerant (with some caveats).
