Both of those teams are locks for Christmas day games, same as both of the LA teams most likely. Doesn't mean I consider them appealing

From a pure entertainment standpoint I would want OKC-Golden State and Memphis-LAC on there, but I tried to be somewhat realistic about what they would give us. I'd probably want 4 Western Conference games, and then the Cavs-Bulls and be a very happy person.

Ideally for me the 5 games would be something like: Dallas-San Antonio, Cavs-Bulls, OKC-GS, Grizz-Clips, and Houston-Portland. Phoenix is also going to be fun to watch but they don't have any sort of rivalry yet.

NOT San Antonio.

Save for 2008, they always suck at Christmas Day games. Pop hasn't started giving a shite that early in the year

Homer!

Honestly, this is gonna be a good damn year for the league. I could be speaking out of turn, but this might be the most parity we've seen in the last handful of years. We will see when the rest of free agency plays out, but damn. There are some exciting teams.

That being said, I think the Grizz are trending down. Spurs are treading water because apparently magic. Clip Show is what it is. Obviously Golden State is fun. Watch out for Phoenix with that core. Pelicans are maturing (I hope). Man. West is loaded.

And then, you know, LeBron. And Chicago, potentially. Washington looks like they're trying to compete. Indiana is...well, who knows? This year could be the best year we've had in a long time.

I like all these matchups, but it is unrealistic not to have the Knicks in the schedule and it is probably unrealistic not to have the Nets in there too. The population of people who do not on sleeve Christmas and still like basketball in New York is bigger than the entire population of some NBA markets. Christmas games always sell out in New York.

We've played on Christmas several times.

Christmas after our 2005 title (got drubbed).

Christmas after our 2007 title (Roger Mason, Jr. game winner in PHX )

Christmas last year against the Rockets in horrible sleeved jerseys (got drubbed).

Pretty sure we played the Lakers on Christmas back in like 2000. And got drubbed

That's off the top of my head. But yeah I hate it when we play on Christmas.

I'm not gonna argue! Just an observation. Age happens, man. How much does Z-bo have left is a good question, IMO. He does a lot for their offense, or at least that's my impression.

I don't do this for a living. I watch for fun. I'm probably more wrong than I am right.

They don't play the game they sleepwalk it. That's why I say they never are the game.

My picks are:
Washington Orlando (Espn) 11
Lakers New York (Abc)
Cleveland OKC (ABC) showcase
Portland Indiana (TNT)
Golden St San Antonio (TNT)
