The trees were INSIDE the compound. You couldn't get in without scaling a 15 ft wall and most likely being noticed

I actually liked the line and thought it was perfect for the moment. IMO, it was a tongue in cheek comment and personified the theme that many people dedicate their lives to to intelligence and searching for that one minute breakthrough. It brought to light the frustration that intelligence community was feeling because of the lack of cooperation from our government, which was again personified earlier in that exchange with "I'm the motherfricker that found this place sir..."

ZDT is the best movie I've seen in the last 3 - 4 years.

perhaps meant to show an "out of touch" aspect between high ups dealing in policy and field agents dealing with real world on the ground shite

Didn't like the movie all that much when I first saw it for some reason. Now it's one of my favorites I watch whenever I see it on.

That's how I took it as well.

Haha I forgot about starting his thread.

I don't know why, but the 7-8 times I've watched it, that line always irks me.

This is what I was getting at in my earlier post.

The "I'm the motherfricker who found this place" line seems really stupid and forced to make her sound like a bad arse.

I know what you mean. I'm the same way with certain lines, usually poorly written or acted or both.
