Where's the outrage???

How about the people that aren't renewing their season tickets or going to games for $3 on stubhub. I'm avoiding them this year for sure. They've frickED us and guaranteed us losing AD23 in 2/3 years to free agency unless he just wants to stay here and be a Patrick Ewing of a non-playoff franchise.

3 things we aren't solving:
Africa
Africa
Pelicans

I would much rather have Nerlin, AD and Payton as the core than what we have now.

you do realize that

Gordon contract,

would still be on the books, right?

ironically, if dell hadn't acquired so much talent so well the past couple years, we wouldn't care about gordon

What the frick are you looking forward to as a Pelican fan with Williams and Demps in charge...a .500 record?

if we were rolling out AD, noel, some guy, some guy, and payton...no gordon. no jrue. no tyreke. no ryan anderson. how long do you think it would take for our team to even get to .500?

The optimist/young kid that loves basketball in me says "but we'll be fun to watch!"

The realist/objective guy in me says "but if you wait and give Demps time to build around AD, we'll be a playoff team right about the time 2018 rolls around and AD leaves for one of the glamour teams in the nba!"

that's assuming we hit on all of those picks we have, too

The trade for Asik did not need to happen if we would have simply stuck with Noels
Holiday+Asik, I'll take that over Noel+Payton

So you're saying, in general, that we would be better off with Noel+Payton in place of Holiday/Asik/Gordon? Not sure how you arrive at that conclusion.

This is silly. Every move a gm makes is a crap shoot. Do draft picks have more of an unknown quality to them? Absolutely. But there's no guarantee signing a known commodity will work out either.

FTR, I like the roster and overall like most of the moves. I do think Demps tends to overpay for assets and that Monty is a poor match for the guard heavy talent Demps brought in. Hopefully they stay healthy and we can really see what the team has on the court and in the coache's box

Why Anthony Davis will be a Pelican through at least the 2019-2020 season

You don't know how FA works in the NBA. I guess you really are Mo Cheeks.
