Did he actually win it, or is it just the writers opinion and list?
That said, kid is a stud. I said he would be the best true PG from this draft before the draft and was very impressive in the summer league.
And 480, Payton has been compared to Rondo for a while. I've seen some analysts say he's a blend of Westbrook and Rondo. Similar size and length of Westbrook, plays more like Rondo.
I think he ends up being a top 5 player from this draft when it's all said and done.

Of course he is compared to Rondo, he is the perfect comparison. I haven't seen anyone saying he is going to be a "more athletic" Rondo though. Those are the key words here!
