I can be if they keep telling me my wife has to hitchhike because one of their customers smashed into her car while she was minding her own business in a perfectly good car.

They owe you rental car for the time your vehicle was unable to be driven, until they either repair the vehicle or settle up with you on the total loss. Once you get your check for total loss, they don't owe anything past that. You should be able to purchase a vehicle immediately.
