So your wife's car was totaled? If so, their insurance should provide you with a rental until you are able to find other transportation (within reason). If it wasn't totaled, their insurance should still provide you a rental until the repair is completed.

Yes it's totaled. They're saying I have to turn the rental in next Wednesday but won't get my settlement check for probably another week after that. We were going to use that check to buy another vehicle.
