Can't imagine the riff raff showing up for a low-priced Garth Brooks show.

I just think it's crazy ppl would pay 500 for an outdated artist. He can't channel that energy he once had

Modern country fans think of him as a legend. They'll buy tickets even when he sucks.

I'm not a fan of Garth Brook's but where did all this hate come from?

People born after 1990.

And I'm not a fan either.

He's looking to pick up the "elder statesman" crown George Strait just hung up.

I give it a 90% chance it is an epic failure.

You really don't know the Country music audience...at all. Will he recapture the degree of success he had before his hiatus? Maybe not, but he'll be in the Top 10 on sales for years.

He will sell out every one of his shows on his worldwide tour within minutes.

As for chart success, I think he'll be similar to George Strait at this point. He'll get someone to write songs that appeal to the masses and they'll chart well and his albums will do well. He'll never dominate the charts like he did, but I see almost 0% chance of failure.

Saw him in Nashville 3-4 years ago, was one of the best times I've ever had at a concert. Only gave like 30 bucks for the tickets, would pay that again to see him.

Hell, I saw Alan Jackson and that was a fantastic show. I think they are on about the same level and era. I bet Garth could still put on a fun show. Sure, it's nostalgia, but he's not so old that it's not worth seeing him once.

Yall saying he will fail, I'd retire and never work a day in my life again with what he's about to rake in failing.

He has quite a catalog to fall back on if his new stuff isn't working. He'll sense it's not going well and then do Thunder Rolls and the crowd will go nuts. I'd pay to see him again but not more than $50-$60.

He had a long time residency at the Wynn here in Vegas. All of his shows were 95-100% full. It was a very stripped down show, mostly just him with an occasional duet with Trisha. The only time that tickets were anywhere near $500 was for the final few shows. Mine was $100, which was still a bit too high for my liking but I wanted to see what all of the hype was about. I can take or leave most of his music but you can't deny that he's a great showman and has an incredible rapport with his audience.

It will do good cause he will get Carrie Underwood on a track for the album and few others. Mark it down.

Being that he sold out 5 consecutive shows in Ireland all within minutes of them going on sale, id be willing to bet he will sell out 99% of his shows world wide especially since he claims the tickets will be dirt cheap.

Also starting next week he will basically be giving all his older catalogue away digitally which they have never been available digitally before people will buy them. He had a new album coming out in November and when talking about it he said it's not as radio friendly as the "hick hop" or "bro country" on the radio today. I hope he does well. He left at the height of his popularity.

It all depends on the programming directors at clear channel and NASH and the influence Sony has over them.

For the last 5+ years he's sold out every show at $250 a ticket....
