I think it would have been great if at the end there was an extra scene.

A scene that showed the "establishing contact this the military base up north" from the base perspective.

The scene would open with Oldman's guys on the radio in San Francisco. The scene would change to a pan in from above of the base. In the background we would still hear the guy's trying to contact over the radio. Then, as we hear the response we are shown a mic/receiver in a room on the base. We zoom out to see an Ape working the mic....

i thought this movie was extremely mediocre and wished i wouldn't have wasted my time on it

i was basically laughing at the scenes where the monkeys were having emo/sentimental interaction

hell, i liked the first apes movie but this one had too much ridiculousness in it..

Since they didn't show the people on the other end of the radio and you never heard a clear radio message... I thought that the troop trucks would show up at the end of the movie and the doors would open to reveal apes driving the trucks.

A similar ending to what Boulle did in the novel.
