Andre Johnson, Jimmy Graham, and Mark Ingram all on the same team?!

That wouldn't even be fair.

You know what would be really bad?

If he went to Carolina.

And still be 3rd in the MVP votes behind Manning/Rodgers because our "pass happy offense".

Edelman, Julian
Gallon, Jeremy
Johnson, Jeremy

Would it be great? Absolutely.

Will it happen? Absolutely not.

Should we? If there's any way Loomis can make it work, definitely.

According to Spotrac, Johnson would cost 14.6 M against the cap in 2014 without any restructures, pay cuts, or other changes to his contract.

The only teams that could afford that without making other moves to free up space are:
Jags
Browns
Jets
Bengals
Titans
Eagles
Colts
Steelers

ETA: I don't know what his cap hit is. Spotrac says 14.6M, Over The Cap says 15.6M, and this article (Could Andre Johnson Work in Carolina?) says 11M.

I'm guessing the article is correct, so maybe the dead money is what would transfer. I don't understand how it works well enough - maybe someone who understands cap calculations can explain.

if you can afford a $14 million dollar player at the very last minute, you're not using your cap space wisely IMO

If we did I sense graham would be gone kill two birds in one stone. There both mad about there situation. I think our coach would say the hell with tightends. five receiver sets try to stop that.

I know you are prob joking a bit, but a 28 year old Jimmy Graham who will likely make around $10 million isn't going anywhere for a 33 year old Andre Johnson who is set to make $14 in 2014 and $16 in 2015.
