Thanks for that Zaba. Couple of things I saw in there...

1). If we don't go right back to that 3-4-2-1 that we have seen increased chances and success from, then all I can figure is that Rogers is in an identity crisis. He swears up and down the Reds are an attacking side, and doesn't want to assign a defensive coach, but that is utter bullshite if we revert after finally scoring some much needed goals.

2). I really hope Sakho locks down a defensive spot. When he goes out there, he is verbal and puts people where they n5eed to be. He is passionate and effective. It is exactly the style that the side needs to boost defensive success.

3). Unfortunately, I think Alberto Moreno may have been a big miss. Sucks, because I really like the guy. Lovren is finally showing progress a bit. Slow, but sure. I like Manquillo too, but Lovren is the guy to stick with IMO. Flanagan back so soon should help lock down the back end a bit too.

4). Yeah, everyone knows they screwed the pooch with Sanchez. With our current defensive/injury problems, not sure how much of a difference we would see in our level of success thus far. I will admit, a Sterling/Balotelli/Sanchez front would definitely be interesting to watch, but it wouldn't have mattered since Rodgers has played defensive formations with a self-proclaimed attacking side for half a season.

ETA: 5). frick McDonald's.

If we lose tomorrow, we'll be 10 points out of fourth and with plenty of teams between us and there.

Origi in January - likely nothing to be counted on. Do it for depth, do it for something better than Borini, but I don't think he's much better than Borini at this moment. We bought him because in three years, he could be a top talent.

He will not be some sort of savior.

3-4-1-2 seems to be the way to go. Though the fact that it means we'll have 3 CBs on the field scares me.

Hopefuly Sakho gets some more minutes and we can see what he's capable of.

Looking forward to seeing Flano back out there. He played some decent defense and also had some good passes last year.
