This is something I can get excited for, I just need 5 other people to play with....

Raids are “extremely crafted,” six-player, friends-only gauntlet runs that might best be described as gut-checks. Yes, they will be difficult, and they will absolutely require communication and cooperation. That’s why Bungie isn’t supporting matchmaking for them; the developers don’t want them to be played by disparate groups of strangers. But Smith is quick to point out that they’re not like Strikes – the instanced dungeon-like runs that might take a mere 20-60 minutes – but more like MMO raids in that you’re going to want to buckle up and get comfortable for a couple hours.
“The activity is going to take you and your group of five buddies into a place that you’ve never been,” Smith explains. “A place that you will return to frequently. And [it will] demand of you things you’ve never even really been asked to do in a shooter before.”

I'll be balls deep as well. Pre-ordered for Xbox One and pre-ordered the Destiny PS4 Bundle. I'll be rocking the Hive's world in both console universes. Plus, I couldn't miss out on Raids and Strikes with my friends on a different console, that wouldn't be right.

I'm going to play 'just the tip' and see how it feels.

Taste of what a Level 29 Titan looks like.
For clarification, the level cap is set at 20. However, by stacking Light, one can raise their "effective" level beyond the hard cap.
I suppose the most apt comparison would be with the Paragon system in Diablo, although in that system, your character still receives inherent increases to base stats with each level, irrespective of gear. With Destiny, it appears that your effective level is entirely dependent on your gear, meaning the base stats for level capped players that aren't wearing any gear would presumably be identical.
It's an interesting system, particularly when combined with Motes of Light. I just hope Bungie produces enough end game content to keep even the most advanced clans and fireteams busy for quite some time.

This is the key, if they can do this GOAT

I feel like they are going to offer enough content. My concern is that it will all be behind a paywall. I don't want to pay a fortune in DLC just to stay interested in the game.

Really? Just at 20? I'll hit that in a week

not a fan of the cap at level 20.
i understand it's a "soft" cap, but still seems a little light for a borderlands-ish game.

I think the more people play, the less they will compare it to Borderlands. I just got a completely different feel from it.

I agree, corndog is a fool.

I'm sure I'll get dragged along because literally everyone is buying it, but I'm really not digging it.
