Why not?

You want to get 2 SFs at around the minimum. One who will play offense, one will play defense. Unless a massive change is in the works, Evans will still see time w/ 2 other guards so you don't need a 30MPG guy.
Honestly, if they brought back Southerland as the offense guy and Aminu as the defense guy, and Miller as a hybrid of the two, I'd be fine. Asik/Davis will cover for the mistakes of the offense SF. Aminu can play with and help Anderson on the boards. None of them should play more than about 20MPG
An older, locker room guy would be a nice addition though. If Stephen Jackson wants to come on board to be team mascot, I'm down with that. He's a badass motherfricker.

i thought jordan hamilton had some potential in denver. he was a pretty decent shooter I recall, still young as well.

It's been long rumored that he doesn't really like guarding 3's.

Monty's said more than once that the only reason he played him at SF last season was because he had to. He said he sees him as a Guard, not a F.

Too cheap unless LeBron is on the roster

Josh Howard is our starter at SF for the upcoming season.

I know he comes with baggage, but Michael Beasley has the most talent and upside out of anyone on the list.

Richard Jefferson makes a lot of sense to me.

Too much baggage

So if we have SF sort of by committee. How horrible would it be for one season to have Josh Howard and/or Richard Jefferson, Aminu (bring back if the money could work) and Evans at times. I could be completely overlooking something obvious but just thinking out loud.

We are all hoping for a long term solution at SF but it may not come. A guy like Jefferson and then a guy with little risk but is young and cheap might be our only shot.

If the cap does actually go up another $3-$4 million next year as projected, which seems likely with the LeBron to Cleveland giving us a new story line to follow, I think we'll see crazy prices again which means Eric Gordon will opt out if he has a relatively healthy and productive year. Just eyeballing next year's cap, we'd have between $10-$15 million in cap space to go after a starting level SF if Gordon opts out. That's definitely a better option than locking into a lesser guy for the MLE.

You'd need sf by committee with Howard or Jefferson, both Might be serviceable if either had knees left, just a big risk. The 3 spot may just be a by game situation this year with a lack of current viable options, sucks but looks likely

We should sign Terrance Williams!

Four years later, Gyno is still leading the charge of that TWilly pain train
Bring in every SF that has potential and hope one of them pops. Bring Sam Young back from overseas

Totally agree here. Piece it together this year at SF, hope you can either trade Gordon before next season or that he opts out. Then have a ton of cap space to really go hard after an elite SF.

why would LBJ going to Cleveland mean the cap goes up 4 million?

The cap is going up because there has been a resurgence in popularity for the league since the Big 3 formed in Miami. Stern has often talked about how important all the off court and offseason drama was to the game. LeBron going to Cleveland gives the league a good if not better story line to follow than year 5 of the Evil Empire. Just look at how much attention The Decision 2 got this week.
