Are you really saying most of the people that saw a movie like God Is Not Dead were not motivated to do so by their religiosity?

I went to see that with my girlfriend and neither of us are religious. We went because her mother was so enthralled with the book. There are any number of reasons for seeing a movie.

Sure, many are going because they want the movie to justify their beliefs. But I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that if the movie failed to deliver salient points they would not be so supportive.

I genuinely found Moore funny in his earlier works. Not so much now. Didn't agree with him but thought he would be entertaining.

well that is an extremely rare example

most of that movies profits were from large church groups.

he was funny early on which is part of what helped his appeal (that and everyone being pissed at the ever changing reasons for going into Iraq). Then he got bitter as hell and more wingnutty and poof. His popularity has waned.

nope

i dont come to Tigerdroppings for political debate (i get enough of that at work already) and very rarely go onto that board.

i dont want to waste my time debating a bunch of crap that is overblown political theater from Washington.

I'll end it with this

Most Dems and Repubs in Washington are essentially the same. They work for corporations and not the common man. They want to get people lathered up into an "us vs them" froth so we don't see the bigger picture. The majority of squabbles in Washington are nothing more than corporations using politicians as a proxy in their pissing matches.

Posters like BugAC are impossible to debate with anyway. Literally impossible.

They spew talking points and read articles from TheBlaze and parade partial truths as full truths.

The facts are this, DDs films are biased but the primary issue is that he is a shitty filmmaker. Its what this board is for, not to complain about Obama or even Bush for that matter. And yes I saw Obama 2016, its a shitty film. At least Moore has talent, regardless of how biased he is.

This movie wasn't screened for critics. Why would they want to go back and watch a documentary that is similar to what can be seen on Fox News daily. And I refer to its substance and production value.

An Inconvenient Truth is at 93% by the critics.

Losing a debate and not getting into a debate are 2 different things. I'll gladly debate anyone on the PT board over what i listed. Care to take up that challenge. I'll cite facts and multiple sources for all my material. If that's what you mean by "impossible to debate with", then i guess you are right.

You've never debated me there poncho. I don't go to the blaze, but nice way to try and scapegoat me as if I am not well knowledgeable about the blunders of this current administration.

What is irrational about disliking Obama?

1) NSA wiretaps
2) Using the IRS to punish political enemies just like Nixon.
3) No answers to Benghazi
4) The failure of Obamacare
5) The economy
6) The current mass influx of illegal immigrants directly due to the Admins stance on amnesty.
7) The resulting disease epidemic and increased cartel killing along the boarder because of #6.
8) Net Neutrality and Obama's lobbyist appointees.
9) Obama's foreign policy.
10) Obama admins handling of the VA.

let me know if any of those are irrational.

Seeing shite like this on the M/TV Board is like clicking on a Pornhub video and having Dinesh DSouza's America start playing.

Someone clearly never read any of my posts. Come to the dark side, we have cookies...and factual arguments not rooted in Alex Jones sites. Believe it or not, the majority of the poliboard is libertarians, not republicans. Obama is not the most reviled person on there. George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Lindsey Graham, John McCain, and John Boehner are all held with much lower esteem.

laugh all you want, it's the truth. It's hilarious when democrat posters come on there and say, "Yeah, well Bush did that too!" and everyone agrees with him and says "Yeah, that's why we hated him. Obama was supposed to be different". Then they post something dumb that McCain or Graham said regarding war and everyone agrees that that is retarded and that those guys are awful. It's crazy how much most people have in common. Small government conservatives actually have a lot in common with most democratic voters. Neo-cons and liberals are just awful though, just awful.

No it's not, not even close.

I am not going to deny that President Bush, Boehner, McCain, Cheney, and so on don't have their critics on the Political Board, but saying that they are ridiculed on the same level or even lower than President Obama is absolutely ridiculous.

And you found all of that on the Tigerdroppings Political Board?

I am not saying shite like that hasn't been posted on the Tigerdroppings Political board before, but let's not act like they are going tick for tack down there.
