I don't think I could ever live in a place that has so little sunshine.

The actual city of Los Angeles is a terrifying concrete hellhole. There are some extremely nice places to live in that area but they're suburbs; it isn't "big city" living the way living in NYC or SF would.

replace San Diego with LA
Posted on 7/8/14 at 1:28 pm to benhamin5555
I would rather live in SF than LA.

Only if you can afford to live in certain neighborhoods. Same goes for every other city in California simply because of the incredible cost of housing.

I believe that Seattle has the highest rate of suicide in the U.S.

DC should be high on both lists.

I think I could happily live in SLC. It's big enough to have access to various cultural opportunities (and amazing outdoor opportunities), but small enough to not have to deal with loads of traffic, congestion, etc. Plus, I don't think it's a "hip" city in the way that New Orleans is now, so that's a plus.

Just got back from San Francisco and would highly recommend a trip for anyone. The weather did not get above 67 degrees the entire time

Haven't read whole thread. With that said don't move to NYC unless you are debt free and making 6+figures. It's not worth it otherwise.
