Just use your blender. Cut the onions in quarters, fill with enough water to cover onions, blend on highest speed for 2 second bursts about 3-5 times, drain water out, thank me later. We do a whole bag at a time to freeze it all for later use. No tears and quick as can be. They do not get all mushy or anything.
