There aren't "intentional leaks" - Smith is a hardcore Star Wars fan he's excited.

What would benefit Smith or movie if it was a planned leak? The movie is already going to be one of the biggest releases in recent memory - whether it's good or not will not be affected by this Smith monologue.

I'm not a big fan of Clerks (it's just ok), but I liked "Cop Out" and love "Dogma"

Kevin Smith has replaced Harry Knowles as the "invited geek". The studios used to invite Knowles on set, flying him out to New Zealand to see the Lord of the Rings filming and other big movies, knowing that he'd reciprocate by getting a favorable word out about the shoot.
