These. They seem to be the rule instead of the exception around here. Every area is different. I tend to generalize unfairly when I'm ranting.

I am more than happy to help out a patient in need of emergency care. I can get access to my practice management software practically anywhere as long as I have web access.
I leave my cell number on my office after hours message. I usually don't answer that phone but will call back anyone that leaves me a message. The druggies generally, unless desperate, don't leave messages. Good people who need help usually do and get a call back from me if I am in town or a staff member if not. Works for me.
