here let me help you if you think I'm trolling.
Family values
A physician and father of three, Bill supports Louisiana’s traditional family values. Faith and religion have played a vital role throughout the United States’ history, and it is important that this is recognized and respected.
No doubt a do as I say, not do as I do kind of guy.

I'm sure there are many facts that can be reported. But are they all relevant news?
Again, the candidate made an announcement. Should it have been ignored?

Hell, I bet there are plenty on teenage girls who got knocked up recently that didn't warrant a story. Kids are supposed to be off-limits...right?
Cassidy announced the pregnancy.

Now my turn: why does this matter to the election? They led with his name, not hers.
It really doesn't matter much. And what?

We're talking Louisiana. The state is filled with SEC Crazy types. They won't vote for Cassidy, now. Damn it all to hell. The republicans very well may lose the senate because an irresponsible girl couldn't keep her legs closed.

Pretty pathetic to use a man's underage daughter as a political pawn.

Did he or did he not post a picture of his family under the family values section of his website.
Pretty pathetic using his family to get elected.

well in today's world, this would be impossible to keep under wraps. i always tell people to be honest and up front about scandals. not only do you gain a lot more control in the story, but you avoid the whole "it's not the crime, it's the cover up" stuff

He'd be a hypocrite if he had her get an abortion. Otherwise, her having the kid is consistent with "traditional" values.

Of course. I was, however, making a different point, somewhat ironically, to another poster who seemed to be off base.
