Will the fact Nadal has trouble winning on grass affect his legacy?

I know he has taken Wimbledon twice but you look at other guys like Federer and Sampras who won over 5 times and multiple times in a row, and since Wimbledon is pretty much the most prestigious tournament like the Masters is he needs to win more there IMO to be in the GOAT conversation.

What does the script say about his future performances at majors?

I am a bit of a Fedtard and really don't like Nadal for a lot of reasons. But, if he gets to 18, even with 10 RG, he is GOAT.

Fed has one French Open, nothing on the head-to-head, has lost Aussie and Wimbledon matches to Rafa, lost to young Rafa during Fed's prime, etc, etc. Really, all Fed fans have is that a decent amount of those head-to-heads were on clay and Rafa just didn't advance far enough in some Wimbledons and US Opens to lose to Fed (which is a big assumption to have in the first place).

His domination of the French Open does way more for him then anything else he may do at Wimbledon.

His legacy is intact.

I think his dominance on clay will help make up for it. If he hadn't won Wimbledon at all maybe, but he's won twice and even beat Federer there.

Trouble. Winning. On. Grass. AYFKM?

He won Wimbledon twice and made it to five straight finals.

He is definitely GOAT on clay imo. As far as overall, I don't think he is, but he has an argument.

No. Should Fed have to win more at RG to be in the goat discussion?

It really should imo he's a clay court specialist that stole a couple on other surfaces
I think it's absurd how some are so ready to anoint him the GOAT in light of his struggles on other surfaces
Keep in mind i only mean "struggles" as it relates to being the GOAT
he is an all-timer no doubt

Not a Nadal fan but the guy has won Wimbledon twice and made the finals 5 out of 6 years from 2006-2011. So, in short, no.

Yes. But a favorable record vs Roger helps.

Personally I believe his unprecedented dominance on Clayy in particular his performances at Roland Garros compensates for his lack of grass court game.

Nadal is already the clay court GOAT but would need as many slams as Fed with a few more Wimbledons to claim the overall GOAT.
