I may have misheard this, but I believe I read a report that Minnesota is more isolated than any other NBA city. Someone used it as a talking point for why the Wolves do well at home and poor on the road beyond what you'd expect for similar teams.

I'm not against the Twin Cities at all. I'm sure they're great. I've spoken to a current NBA player that says no one wants to go to Minnesota or Utah unless the money is just insanely great. Those February games, waking up and scraping ice off your windows in negative 20 weather are tough. If it was a summer sport it'd be an easier sell.

In summer, it's a nice area. In winter, screw that.

But you, personally, as a Cavs fan, wouldn't you rather do this megadeal than straight Wiggins/Bennett/picks for Love?

Not really. Kyrie hasn't had a reliable second option since he's been with the Cavs. Kyrie and Bron running the pick and roll will be unguardable.

I'm not trading Wiggins either.

BREAKING: Cavaliers Agree To Trade Andrew Wiggins, LeBron James For Kevin Love

quote:

CLEVELAND—Following lengthy and protracted trade negotiations, the Cleveland Cavaliers announced Friday that the team has agreed to deal No. 1 draft pick Andrew Wiggins and four-time league MVP LeBron James to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for power forward Kevin Love. “Though it was a tough decision to let Andrew and LeBron go, we felt that adding Kevin gives our team the best chance to compete for an NBA championship next season,” said Cleveland GM David Griffin, adding that it ultimately wasn’t possible to acquire Love from Minnesota without giving up both Wiggins and James. “We’re thrilled to welcome Kevin to the team. I have no doubt that he will be a great fit in Cleveland and will quickly become a fan favorite.” Griffin went on to say that everyone within the Cavaliers organization wished Wiggins and James nothing but the best in Minnesota.

I think people are really undervaluing Kyrie. He may be the best PG in the game in the next year or two.

Let's pump those brakes until he gets in the Top 5.

I would hope so, he has a top 2 player in the league playing along-side him. He won't be the focus of every defense.

His PER36 numbers have stayed relatively the same in the last 3 years and that's why people tend to not include him in the superstar PG category.

Superstars tend to constantly improve. He's never done that.

Look at CP3's PER 36 #'s
.430/.282/.847
.437/.350/.818
.488/.369/.851
and averaged .482/.367/.868 since

16.1ppg/5.1rpg/7.8apg/2.3tov
16.9ppg/4.3rpg/8.7apg/2.5tov
20.2ppg/3.8rpg/11.1apg/2.4tov
and averaged 18.8ppg/4.3rpg/10.1apg/2.4tov since

Kyrie's #s have been
.469/.399/.872
.452/.391/.855
.430/.358/.861

21.8ppg/4.4rpg/6.4apg/3.7tov
23.3ppg/3.8rpg/6.2apg/3.4tov
21.3ppg/3.7rpg/6.2apg/2.7tov

Chalmers said he was shocked to see James return to Cleveland after four seasons in Miami. The two have spoken since, with Chalmers wishing well his former teammate. He was among the closest players to James.

“We were surprised,” Chalmers said. “I never thought anybody would want to leave Miami for Cleveland but you grow up and you move on. That’s what happened and there’s no love lost.”

He already is top 5. There certainly aren't 5 I'd take before Irving.

It shouldn't even be debatable. All 5 are clearly better at this point. Throw in Steph Curry as well.

I'm not positive Kyrie is even top 10 right now.
