Plastic is for the impact. Don't you put a cover over it? Touchwiz can be gotten rid of by rooting. Bloatware can be disabled or uninstalled by rooting and just turn of the gesture stuff.
Wait.... IIRC the S5 can't be rooted is that correct at the moment?

Nope. I've had every iPhone except the 5 and have never once used a case. Why buy a good looking phone and hide it?

That's not an option for me as I use my phone for work. No rooting or jail breaking unfortunately.

But I actually wanted to use them. Its just disappointing when you realize that a feature that lead you to buy the phone is half-assed. It was the case with the S4 and still doesn't seem to work right in the S5

I think there is a root available on ATT? I could be wrong as I don't flow samsung much anymore.
