LINK

He agreed to pay $300,000 to bin Laden-associated terrorists.

Only he screwed it up...the terrorists took the money and killed the hostages anyway.

What a chump!

And what is your source? First off, W is NOT a junior,so you got that wrong right off.

Second, when will BHO have been in office long enough to start accepting responsibility for anything? Blaming Bush is getting way old and the American People are no longer buying what you are selling.

Leave it to Bush to pay money to free gospel spreaders.

This board, once again, will pretend they never liked George W. Bush and will insist they're not hypocrites.

Once again you fail at even a basic understanding of your own OP. The funds were private monies paid to the group directly.

You are a fricking clown bro

You should've been more outspoken at the time. That was 12 years ago.

I remember a long time ago the white man stealing Manhattan from the Indians for beads. How far back should we go to absolve Obama from all his failings?

I think we're all in agreement that we should not expect any better from of our elected officials if we can locate previous misdeeds from now retired pols.

Seriously, the "Bush did it" defense makes you guys look a children. Dumb children.

This has been discussed previously. Not the same as trading 5 high level terrorist leaders for a deserter.

are you just now noticing the trend where conservatives talk shite about stuff obama does but in reality it was something that their conservative guys also do?

Resorting to unveiling hypocrisies from the other "team" is a clear signal that your "team" is a failure. Instead of actually defending your side's actions, you simply point out the other side's hypocrisies or shortcomings.

It's very naive and childish, yet this is what our political system has become. Red vs blue, while everyone gets fricked.

Your OP is so factually flawed as to be comical.

1. Bush didn't pay a ransom to anybody.

2. The money was given by private parties.

3. Bush is not a junior.

4. What does any of this have to do with anything? Are you making a parallel between this case and Bergdahl? The beef most people had with the Bergdahl case is that Obama freed five terrorists to rescue one deserter.

From your own link:
quote:

The United States was involved in arranging a ransom payment to the Abu Sayyaf rebel group in the Philippines meant to secure the release of an American missionary couple kidnapped nearly 11 months ago, but the couple has not been freed, ABCNEWS has learned.

Sources say the U.S. government helped pay $300,000 in private money more than a month ago in hopes of seeing Martin and Gracia Burnham freed by their radical Islamic captors.

You clowns. "But but but your guy did it tooooooooooooooooooo!" Deflection - looks terrible on you.

If you read the story,
quote:

Sources say the U.S. government helped pay $300,000 in private money more than a month ago in hopes of seeing Martin and Gracia Burnham freed by their radical Islamic captors.

Do you know wtf "private money" is? They were merely facilitators.

quote:

7 June 2002 - A Filipina nurse, Deborah Yap, and a U.S. missionary, Martin Burnham, held hostage by Muslim rebels for more than a year are killed during a rescue attempt. The final kidnap victim, Martin's wife Gracia, is wounded but survives and is freed.

C'mon man, you are better than that.

Once again... Obama is supposed to be an intellectual. Why would he do something considered by really smart liberals as "dumb".

It really entertaining to see people call Bush dumb and then turn around and point to Obamas mistakes as "Ok" because Bush did the same thing.

Obama = Bush
