Lebron, the first NBA superstar ever to be ridiculed for a contract he deserves

Another first

You're such a dumbass shell. I'm not criticizing him , I just thought it was funny. How many players could pull that off? I'm taking a raise and I want my two other stars to take paycuts.

I don't believe this for a second. No way Wade, Bosh, and Haslem all opt out to take paycuts if LeBron isn't.

Lebron should be the highest paid player on his team. I don't think any player should be paid the ultimate max if an organization is actually tryin to win a championship. The cap makes it too difficult to build a contender.

If you are the Heat you just have to do whatever he wants. If he gets that kind of money though, I don't know if they can even sign a roster he will be happy with. If I'm Wade and Bosh, I probably would say frick it and not opt out if he is going to do this. Just opening the door to make less money and possibly have him leave anyway.

If Lebron wants the 5 year maximum contract from the Heat, this is what it would break down to yearly.

Year Salary Age
2014-15 $22,120,000 (30)
2015-16 $23,779,000 (31)
2016-17 $25,438,000 (32)
2017-18 $27,097,000 (33)
2018-19 $28,756,000 (34)
Max Contract: $127,190,000

So even if Wade and Bosh each took $15M per year($5M cut from their previous salaries), that would leave Miami with roughly $10M to fill out the rest of their team until they hit the $63M salary cap.

Considering he carried their arses throughout the playoffs, yeah.

But maybe he'll back off of this if they're able to bring someone like Melo into the fold.

Obviously Lebron was the best of the 3, but Wade and Bosh played pretty damn well prior to the finals.

Great responses shell, you're really getting me.

Just go back to my post and show where I was critical of Lebron. I'll wait.

Considering they have I think 1 actual player under contract that's gonna be a lot of IOUs,hookers, blow, and south beach prostitutes.

Lebron easily deserves to be the highest paid player in the league. I just don't see how he can demand the max max contract and still allegedly want drastic roster improvements,

Agreed. If anyone deserves the max max contract it's LBJ, but there's no feasible way to do that while keeping Wade and Bosh around AND adding some impact players to the roster.

LBJ would have to take something like $15M per just to add a guy like Kyle Lowry.

He took less than max to join the Heat and it was speculated that he would do the same this offseason, Mr. Douchebag.

Bron is definitely worth it, and if he wants it he desrves it, but clearly not 100% devoted to winning if he takes the full max, considering he makes over $30 million a year in endorsements anyway
