Not a very good pilot, but I know pilots aren't exactly fair to use to judge. I'll give it another shot. But the episode tonight was way too forced. The genius of BMW was its simplicity. It felt authentic. Cory's goal in each episode wasn't to "find himself", he just did naturally as a result of what would happen. It was a slow process of growth. This whole episode just felt fake. Minkus was a dork and bit of a creep, but that type of character is realistic in a classroom. This Farkle kid is not. Nobody acts like that in real life. Shawn was a bad boy, but not over the top like this Maya girl was the ENTIRE episode. Someone earlier in the episode said he was disappointed GMW is on Disney because the characters will be like cartoon characters. That's a pretty good analogy, I think. They just don't feel natural. And way too much emphasis on "world" and "finding myself".

The first episode was on youtube. Major downvote in my opinion. Laugh tracks every 2 seconds was annoying as hell.

Yea it was a nice trip down memory lane, not gonna go out of my way to remember to watch it. Forgot about it last night but happened to be surfing thru the guide.

It needs to be on another channel like a pp said. I can't stand the forced acting from disney. I also don't like the girl that plays Riley. It seems like she was trying too hard and all I kept hearing when she talked was her lisp. Hopefully they will make some changes and it take off like BMW because I would like a nice current show for my daughter to watch
