The Chicago dining suggestions thread made me think of this.
I'm bringing my dad to his first game and was wanting to get the board's thoughts to make sure we are doing it right

Wrigley doesn't have any good food. Don't wear the other team's colors or the vendors will put soap in your beverage. Don't say I didn't warn you.

this. some gross dogs and soggy giordano's pizza at exorbitant costs. the char dogs on the top deck behind homeplate are probably the best thing there.

The food is awful at Wrigley.
Eat before or after the game.

Imo, there is no "good" food in Wrigley. But eating a loaded dog in Wrigley is awesone, even if the food is sub par. Simply bc you are in Wrigley. Snap a pic with your dad eating a dog with scoreboard in background.
They have plenty of bar/grills outside of Wrigley that are fun but not exactly a culinary delight.
I will say, they have a bar on lower level, 1st base line that allows you to "come and go" outside stadium with a wrist band. Convenient for somkers bc I am convinced thats the only place to smoke and drink at the same time in Chicago. Not sure if it is accessible from the bleachers. Let me know. I'll be there in a month.
Go Cubs go.

Just drink a bunch of old style and soak in the vibes, eat after the game. I'm jealous..

Never heard of this before. Any good? Cheap at least?

It's one of those things you just have to get at Wrigley. There was talk of Old Style not being sold there anymore b/c the Cubs signed a deal w/A-B, but you can still find it there.

All I remember about Wrigley was drinking Old Stlye in the bleachers. Other than that the stadium was pretty shitty. Still was glad I got to experience it though.

One of those beers where you'd only drink at Wrigley, just because it's a Wrigley thing.
You don't want to buy it. Trust me.
