Keeping the meter above DILLIGAF is a massive challenge right now! It feels like time is slowing down, and not in a good way! I will be very relieved come December 8.
I did order a diploma frame, so that could be considered some kind of motivation, right?

Do you mind emailing the PowerPoints and any other study material over to megamanx268@gmail.com? I have been trying to get the materials for this class forever and you would be a hero if you could help out. Right now I am just reading a completely unrelated Financial Markets and institutions textbook I found because that’s all I could find. Thanks!

Module 1. does anybody have any idea what that article is talking about? i don't get it, or its point. hope the test doesn't have too much to do with it.

GeauxUF and Baroqen - I very much appreciate all your insights.
Understand what you say about gold standard does not equate to easy. I'm actually excited about this class. There is a ton I can learn and apply to my work life, just hope I didn't dig myself in too much of a hole in the first week. With the way he grades, it is hard to recover from any one bad week. Regardless, will benefit from the class and he IS a very engaged instructor.

I just took the exam and missed 4 questions. I am pretty sure the missed questions were from the articles I didn't read.

You don't need to understand and you're wasting your time if you try to read it over and over. I'm too lazy to go back and dig up my post on the class, but I did give a very detailed strategy guide for Lin's ISDS 705. If you dig it up though, it pretty much should guide you through the course for an A with the minimum of effort.
However... as far as the article is concerned, or ANY reading...
Jot down any sort of definitions you notice. You will not have a single comprehension type question in the class. You're not required to understand anything. You're required to know vocabulary and definitions.
Stop thinking MBA, college, or even high school, Think elementary school vocabulary tests.

For those of you asking about Choi for FIN 701. I took him in AP1 and got an easy high A. I received 100s on every discussion (1 per week & 1 response per week) and 100s on the 2 case studies (very easy to do). There were 3 tests which were almost exactly the study questions that he provides. I pretty much just studied those study questions and ended up getting A's on every test. I would highly suggest taking his class.

@baroqen I appreciate the advice. Its hard to adjust to a low case load straightforward class after taking some of these other courses.

My only worry is that buso12 only has 7 posts, and almost all of them were about how good Choi is. As I mentioned earlier, none of the more regular posters have said anything about Choi. They all take Vines. Only two people with only 7 posts each, which are mainly about Choi.
Buso12 could actually be Choi.
