@Craig
Hopefully i am ok with discussion grading. I launched the survey yesterday afternoon and didn't finish submissions until this morning. I only gave 2 people all 5's. I tried to take my grading role seriously after reading the email warning. So I am expecting a perfect score this week. Can't imagine what I would get dinged for.
And 11 pages now has me questioning my 5. Unsure about you, but my academic coach is a tough grader. Actually glad he/she isn't grading my actual discussion post anymore.

ISDS 705 - Lin
ACCT 701 - Ambrosio
FIN 701 - Vines
MADM 760 - Meeks or McLaughlin (I am taking Heller and it is smooth so far)
MADM 701 - Kungu
MKT 701 - James (buckle up buttercup)
ECON 705 - Shaughnessy
MADM 720 - K. Williams
MADM 715 - Wren (buckle up buttercup)
MADM 710 - F. Williams (if Kungu teaches a session, enroll with him)
I found this list on Page 295 and found it useful. If you scroll through some pages of this thread you will see discussions of who is preferred and why or who is not preferred and why. Hope this helps.

I just received my acceptance email for LSUS!
I'm unsure on whether I need/should take foundation courses or go ahead and start the core courses. My undergraduate degree was not in business (health services management). A post from two years ago said taking the foundation courses were a waste of time and money. Of course, I would like to finish the program asap, but do not want to fall flat on my face. Is this what you current students would recommend? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
I would agree with the post you referenced. I knew many classmates who did not have an undergrad in business and they did fine. Those I knew who did take the foundation courses wish they had saved the money. I recommend emailing the professors who teach the subjects your concerned about and ask them for guidance on how to get up to speed. Watching instructional YouTube videos is one good way to do this.

MADM 701 with N. Heller, any thoughts or recommendations? Also can the course be doubled up on?

I don't think Heller has taught MADM 701 yet, so you many not get much feedback.

Don't waste your time with the Foundation courses. That is not to say you won't struggle with a few items, but I seriously doubt that the Foundation courses will help you enough to justify the additional time and money. Youtube will be your friend, there are a surprising number of videos that will probaly be able to help you through the things the gaps in knowledge. The hardest part will actually be wading through the variety sometimes. However, losing a few extra hours searching for the right videos is a lot better than spending 7 weeks and a bunch of extra money.

Has anyone used Chegg.com for help on questions within the coursework? (mainly in the math-heavy courses.)
When I have googled some of the key terms in certain questions, I see the entire question posted on a site called chegg.com.
Its unclear whether they are answered but it is quite curious to me.

MADM 701 with Kungu, you can definitely double up. The coursework is simple enough but Im not sure about how Heller structures his/her workload.

I was faster than Speedy Gonzalez getting to my computer to switch the Marketing 701 class. Biggg sigh of relief.

@WDE
Have you got your Week 3 Application/Discussion grading back yet? I see we got our 12 Extra Credit points added this week for the Quiz at the beginning of the course.
This course has been a lot less time consuming than I thought it'd be at the beginning of the session.
---------------------
Graduate application submitted. 3 more weeks to go! Seems like just yesterday was applying to the program. Smell the finish line.
----------------
I would recommend anyone/everyone get into MKT701 with Darrat even if you were planning to take MKT in the spring or next summer . Dr James is very much available to help students and the reading /exams / grading aren't difficult. However, project timelines aren't realistic whatsoever to do good work. Overloading people doesn't equal learning and is doesn't make a course "MBA level".
If she simply did some adjustments to the project, it'd be a better course where people would learn a lot more. Whether that be make it more clear (not play make believe product/company) and/or make it into a group project. I thought the group project in MADM760 with Meeks was one of the better things about the program. She just seems a bit oblivious to what she's actually assigning.
