ISDS705 text is available. 167 pages of searchable pdf goodness.
Original text used in this class is 505 pages, makes it painfully obvious the amount of fluff textbook publishers insert into their products to justify the $$$.

Jeaux, I'm just going back through my notes and watching the Q&A videos. I understand the concepts, but the homework question approaches have that part of my grade in the toilet. Hoping I can get out of this class with a passing grade; my 4.0 is shot though.

Don't tell me that
I'm going to take it in the next few hours.

My MKT701 project part 2 score is in, I'm finished with this class!

lol... I've followed Tigerdroppings for years, but never thought I'd find it pertinent to life until I discovered y'all yesterday. I found this yesterday when I googled Wren looking for her textbook.
So happy to hear that MADM 701 is one of the heavier course loads. I'm finishing it in the next few hours (with a likely B) and am feeling huge relief.
It was the first grad school course that I've taken in 20yrs. Talk about having to learn how to BS all over again!
I sure do hope that Wren's text is better written than the Lufthan's text we just used for William's MADM 701 (I gave up on looking for some of the figures and tables that were referenced, but not included???)

Got my score as well this afternoon.. By the score the other teachers must have been as ready to end this class as the students!

This condensed week for madm 701 is harder than I thought. I needed the weekend to catch up and properly study! But oh well. First class almost down. Boom.

Right! I could have probably pumped out an A had I done the paper, but there was no way I wanted to write another paper. :( I'll take the "B".
Good Luck Finishing Up!

Is ISDS 705 open on Moodle? I am in the course, but I don't see anything yet.

There’s nothing posted except the book & a couple General informatives (proctor instructions, system checks etc.)

I see most people talking about LIN for 705? But I have James Gibbs? I never saw Lin available. Anyone else in the same boat?

I don't even see that. I may have a different professor: I have James Gibbs.

ACCT Ambrosio
Just finished the final exam and first time using Proctorio. Overall Proctorio was way better than ProctorU. However, it took forever for it to accept my webcam image due to lighting. I even had to go take my glasses off and put contacts in due to the glare from the screen. They had to be able to see my eyes. The online chat help was great and helped me resolve the issue. That software is sensitive. My camera is fixed to my screen so i could not escape the glare. As for the exam I finished with 2 minutes left. No surprises on the exam. Like he said, the practice exam is very similar, but I think the exam was more challenging on time because there are more quantitative questions. GOOD LUCK to all taking it today!

Glad to be done with MADM701 (Knotts). This class could have been so much better than it was, but I'd still pick her class if the choice were offered again.
I hope everyone has a good week off before AP2 starts. Next up for me is Wren and MADM715. It looks like there are weekly tests and a big honking project, so we'll see how it goes. She apparently wrote the book, but I'm banking on the fact that it can't be any worse than the Luthans Org behavior book. It's my second to last class, and I'm getting a case of senioritis.

I just took the final exam in ISDS 702, and I gotta say it was rough. I felt like I guessed on about half of the questions, yet somehow I ended up getting 110/150 on it, which put me at an 84% on the class. This will be my first B in the program. While the interaction effects on multiple linear regression material got really difficult for me at the end, I don’t feel like the overall course material was too difficult. Rather, I think Dr. Koksal fell short as a teacher. This was my fifth course in the program (the others being ACCT 701, FIN 710, FIN 701, and ECON 705), so I feel like I’ve had a good sample of difficult professors/course materials (especially FIN 710) from the program, yet I managed high As in all of those courses. I’ve worked really hard towards a 4.0 in the program, and that hope is now gone.
Honestly, the way Dr. Koksal “taught” this class was ineffective. He was purposely vague, and at times totally unresponsive, to students on the discussion boards. And the one time I did email him, he didn’t respond for nearly a week. Couple that with the fact that he didn’t post his solutions to the Practice Problems until the end of the week, and the fact that he “restricted” access to previous weeks discussion forums, makes me feel like he really doesn’t understand or care about the whole learning process, at least as it translates to our grade. In my opinion, when learning new material, it is important to do work, make mistakes, and then be able to learn from your mistakes (which requires knowing where the mistakes were made), in order to truely learn. And it would’ve been great if we were able to do those things without a detrimental impact on our grades. Ah well. Rant over. Onward and upward. Best of luck to you all!

Unless there is a curve implemented (yeah right) then I will finish 1 incorrect question away from an A in this class. Got a 28/30 on the final test. This also will be my only B in the program if that is the case and I have now completed 8 classes. Also, statistics was far and away my strongest subject in undergrad. This class had a major communication failure. I've been frustrated trying to figure out how to write a review or this class, and everything you said here is what I felt.
Best of luck moving forward.
