I have five classes left with three core and two finance electives. I've been following this thread for a while through google search but only just joining to ask my question.
Here are the remaining classes in my current focus
MADM 701
MADM 760
MKT 701
FIN 720
FIN 730
I can do any of the following combos
AP1 - MADM 701 + MKT 701
AP1 - MADM 701 + FIN 720
AP1 - MKT 701 + FIN 720
AP2 - MADM 760 + FIN 730
AP2 - MADM 760
AP2 - FIN 730
I am considering switching over to project management, but haven't quite decided yet. Will be up for graduation as soon as these five are done.
Overall, I have really enjoyed the program and only stumbled with ECON and my current FIN 710 class. I am taking the current FIN 710 class with ISDS 705, so needless to say, I have had my distractions. I can see myself getting through this semesters with only a few Bs and some wiggle room for the tougher paper-heavy classes.
Any thoughts are very much welcome!
Oh...and GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Jeaux, what on earth did you write for your justification? I wrote about 85 words saying "hey I put all of the course topics into my paper. go me." and I don't have another 400 words to make up about this. This section makes no sense to me.

Traywithana, I would not take MKT 701 and MADM 701 together. Any other combination of the 5 should be fine.

That was the hardest part of the entire thing to be honest. What I did was re-state the material I wrote about, how it correlated with the course, and how I interpreted it. For example, part of my paper was on the 5Ps so in my justification I wrote about how I used the 5Ps in planning and writing my paper.
On another note, I finished my ECON assessment this morning and will finish with an A. Glad to be done with it!

Any of you in FIN 710 following the "Exam 3 time" thread in the discussion forum? Entertaining.
I wish he provided more learning formats (videos, slides) for those that need it as well as more practice problems. I do find his written material is easier to comprehend than Vines written material. I didn't do as well as hoped on the first 2 exams but after reviewing them, my issues were more careless mistakes on my part more than trickery with the problems. I actually find his T or F harder to decipher. So I understand both sides of the discussion. He is definitely not one of the better professors in the program but at least it's not proctored and closed book/notes.
Ready to get this last exam over with.

Congrats on being done for almost a couple weeks
I need to finish my justification, then I still haven't touched econ this week. Looking forward to the break once this is done.

Thank you sir. The econ stuff this module isn't bad at all. Scored 100% on everything. Best of luck to you on what you have left

My first three scores on FIN 710:
67
94
67
I just ran out of time on test three. Need an 86 to save a B. Feel really silly to even be in this position, but it is what it is I guess. Almost done.

Is Fin720 and 730 working a lot of problems?
Posted on 8/15/17 at 11:05 am to Jeaux Cool
I agree Jeaux, this last Econ assignment wasn't bad, I scored a 100% too. If anyone needs an electronic copy of the Econ book, let me know, I can email it to you if you provide your email address. Good luck to all this week, hope you all finish strong!

I have MKT 701. Hoping it will be a positive experience with no proctoring.
I would not mind going to a testing center and take the proctored exam. I just don't want to hand over access to my system. I use my company system for all this.
Still waiting to see what new courses (and descriptions of those courses) are required for the Data Analytics and Project Mgmt areas.

All of that is available on Moodle.
MBA Resource Center->Scroll down to Program Curriculum->Click on Concentrations, Specializations, and Course Descriptions->Select which one you're interested in.
I was considering both of those as well but went with the Data Analytics Concentration. From what I researched, PM would take longer for me to finish since I have taken a few courses already. As of now, I will finish in Summer AP1.

Hi, threads are moving quickly. Can you please email the FIN 701 textbook?
cu45@nau.edu
Also, can anyone elaborate to the math being used in the MBA courses? I see others posting a lot about basic math. How basic are we talking? Pre-Algebra, Intermediate Algebra?? I wanted to make sure there aren't areas I should be brushing up more than others. Can anyone speak to this? I'm just worried, I took my last math course 5 years ago but I've been spending some time brushing up on my Business Math as a precaution. Be nice to get some more granular feedback about the math in the courses.
Thanks.

NYSoldier, I'm just finishing up ISDS 705 & MADM 760 this week. Work load was very manageable. It's a good pairing.
