Sure, Alabama can have a shot at steering more money to their state. Let them. Someone has to stop the selfishness. You can argue that it will hurt our state. That we will lose money because of it. We may miss out on some funding, but that will not hurt us. We will be damaged more by continuing to dig this hole we are in.

The blatant hypocrisy of some so-called conservatives astounds me. We hound Democrats for buying certain voting blocks, yet the reason to vote for Thad is so we can be blessed with a little more from our federal masters. We lament the welfare state and people on the dole, yet "Vote for Thad" so Mississippi doesn't lose out on more pork spending "for Mississippians." The only Mississippians benefiting are government contractors, K-Street lobbyists and those with a last name of Barbour.

Don't claim to be a conservative if you aren't conservative. Don't charge Dem's with expanding the welfare state when that's exactly what you are voting for. You're a conservative, unless it applies to you. That means you're a hypocrite.

Was listening to Beck this morn re the Cochran/McDaniel race...and lo and behold audio of Cochran was played (along with the usual Beck/Stu ad lib ) with Cochran professing to his former indulgence of "indecent acts with animals".

Let me spell it out for my Mississippi brethren; yall got hurt up in Nebraska re the CWS...another knockdown would not be good. Because any candidate STUPID or senile enough to say this in a tight election...is not the best person to represent your - or the Collective - interest.

Thad...it's time buddy. Leave the stage, before it really hurts.

Several of my friends, some I consider very intelligent, are in complete denial about this. They cannot believe that I would want Cochran out because he is line for the appropriations chair. These same people, for years, have complained about our debt problems.

To them, it's like the debt Cochran supports is better than the rest of the debt.
