Just a nice masonry bit will work. Into the brick. I drilled some half inch holes in solid cinder blocks and hung several hundred pounds of clothing and stacked storage boxes in my garage. The weight of a flat screen will be fine with a couple of expanding bolts. I think they're called anchor bolts. Mine had grooves around them and the bolt made I expand and bite into the concrete.

this is likely what i'm going to do. if i didn't have everything already wired behind the tv i'd consider the ceiling mount. looks like it will be a project for this weekend.
