still can't believe how suck arse so much of True Blood is now after how much the first season rocked
Yes season 1 was legendary. But I doubt it will have the same effect now as it did when it first aired.

But it wasn't clear if Pam killed ginger or not though.
I thought it was pretty clear where that happened before Fangtasia was open, and Ginger worked at Fangtasia...

Pam said she was sorry for what she was about to do and that usually means kill but she just took credit instead for ginger's idea?
That's something they probably won't clear up now.

Do you even watch this show? Ginger is the waitress that works for Eric and Pam at Fangtasia literally the ENTIRE run of the show.

She was sorry because she was glamoring her and taking her ideas.
And what do you need cleared up? Did you not understand the part where I told you that Ginger was clearly alive after Fangtasia was open. It's not like she hasn't been on screen a tom in earlier seasons.
If she was alive to work at Fangtasia, and that scene happened before Fangtasia was open, what do you think the logical conclusion is?

Ah, I fricked up. I forgot about ginger being a waitress at fantasia because they haven't done anything there for almost two seasons now. My bad.

That was the best episode in at least a few seasons.
Well done start to finish.

Yeah, I think part of the joke was also that this was supposed to be the first time that Ginger had ever been glamoured. Her constantly getting glamoured was a running theme for a while.
IIRC, at some point somebody in the show mentioned that it had happened to her so much that her brain was fried and that's why she was such an idiot. You didn't recognize her because she was introduced in this episode as an artsy Tulane student and even in 1996 had a great creative vision.

God, I miss Nan Flanagan. She could outpam Pam, and I think her take on Ginger was the peak.
She referred to Ginger as a "screeching fang-cushion of a barmaid who's been glamored so much she can't remember her last name."

Just now watching last night's episode. I liked it because it gave me hope that Eric and Sookie will end up together, assuming a cure for hep is found. It was cool to see how fangtasia came about and we learned that Ginger wasn't always a dumbass. I hated the Jessica whiny crybaby scene. Pam telling Bill that Sookie will never be with him was awesome, maybe he'll leave her alone.

Catching up right now...watched E1, now on E2...WTF was up with that Eric Jason dream scene?
Posted on 7/14/14 at 9:08 pm to ladytiger118
it was pretty random but I'm ok with it.

Finally watched the episode. I have come to the conclusion that the only characters that I give a shite about now are Eric and Jason. They are the only halfway decent characters.
And I can see this show having a Dawson's Creek ending.
And yes I will keep watching.

It's been like that since Season 2.
Just finished E2...shite Eric has Hep V.
Wondering if I'll watch E3 tonight or just save E3 and E4 for tomorrow.
I hate Lettie Mae. She's awful.

You're going to watch all 7 seasons now?
FWIW Seasons 1 and 2 were solid for the genre. After that, it started dropping off, but still had its moments...I'd say the show went full-on crappy in Seasons 5 and 6 to where it became a chore and the Authority/Bill's a god/Lillith/Warlow bullshite was so fricking awful . I actually don't think S7 is *that* bad yet based on what I've seen in the first 2 episodes that I just bingewatched. Thinking about watching E3 before I go to bed and watching E4 tomorrow.
FWIW Eric and Jason are the only characters that make this show worth watching.
