It looks like the Apple Store started repairing screens at the beginning of the year. $149 for an iPhone 5C according to this article. LINK You might be able to save $25-$50 going to one of the local repair places, I've used My Phone MD on my 4S and it cost around $95 and took about 45 minutes while I waited.
I sadly had to go through 2 screens before I learned a super bulky case was a necessary part of life, so a warning on the screens from the local repair shops and potentially a reason to go to the Apple Store for repair. Apple doesn't sell replacement screens and the equivalent screens local shops use can look pretty different. Screen replacement #1 was noticeably darker than my original, although I got used to it. But screen replacement #2 was bright and similar to original quality.
Also, the buzzing sounds like it could be something besides the screen. Make sure you get that diagnosed and estimated too before getting your screen repaired.

I've had no case on my iPhone 4 for at least a year and only have one small crack(1/2"ish in size) in the bottom left corner of the phone. Took it off because I was technically ready for my upgrade at that point and figured I might as well use the phone in all it's glory till I needed a new one.
Over a year later I guess I've been lucky, because I drop it frequently enough to assume there would be a lot more damage. I'm slightly sad to be moving away from the iPhone as my 4 has been a beast(and is still kicking quite well), but the Home button is beginning to lag and I'm ready to try something new. Lumia 1020/Windows here I come
