Not sure how much this is enforced. I walked through campus smoking the other day and had completely forgot you weren't supposed to.

Iowa has what was marketed as The Iowa Clean Air Act.
This bans smoking on all publicly owned property. Cops now walk around tailgates writing tickets to smokers. You cannot even smoke inside your car if it is parked on public property.
This all from a state that has zero emissions standards amidst one of the largest agricultural outputs in the US. One that has consistently pumps toxic waste into the Missouri and Mississippi rivers for decades.

It's funny when I drive by Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids... I see dozens of people that work there who have to walk all the way out to the street's median to smoke, a good 75-100 yard walk

Why do bikers always have such trashy, ugly chicks? Serious question here. I have always wondered about this. If Darth can't answer perhaps someone else can. You would think with cool motorcycles, bad boy rebel image, having drugs they could at least pull some decent looking leg even it was of the trashy variety. But all you ever see them with is pure trash and hideous trash at that.

They all look the same too
They all look like they are 20 years older than they probably are, and have really saggy spotty skin that looks like a cross between a bad tan job and a lot of freckles, probably caused from years of chain smoking.
Their voices are all low pitched and extremely hoarse/raspy, again probably from years of smoking.
And they always wear their hair in a single braided pony tail. Their faces look like they are angry all the time, with lots of wrinkles, probably from non stop frowning.
And tattoos. Lots of them.

not that i disagree with the original premise, but why is the OT so obsessed with trashiness? It seems that there is a neverending stream of concern about what things/actions/etc are trashy. A better use of time would be questioning whether something is frat, or not frat; or hypothesizing about time traveling SEALs.

one of the grossest things for me is driving to work at 7am and seeing people all dressed nice for work, smoking in their car with the windows up or just a small crack. So nasty.

If people are so disgusted by tobacco use that there are new state laws made up, why not just make tobacco illegal according to state law? I realize that might be an ignorant question to ask and I fully admit that I don't know a whole lot about law. But it seems like it would be the logical decision.
