In his press conference now basically telling LeBron to man up.

Video

quote:

'Get a grip', 'Deal w/ winning and losing', 'If you got the guts and don't run out the first door'

Talking about the players, media fans etc.
quote:

"Every needs to get a grip" -Pat Riley

quote:

"I'm not dropping championship rings on the table to recruit those guys, they can drop their own" #PatRiley

First thing he said when he stepped to the mic: "You want to trend something 'I'm pissed!' There you go"

quote:

Pat Riley: "I guarantee you other players will want to come down here."

quote:

Pat Riley mentions Kobe. in reference to Lebron. " After he lost. He stayed cool and let management work."

quote:

"Whatever it takes to keep them together, we're ready for it." Pat Riley. Says Spurs/Lakers/Celtics dynasties lost, didn't break up.

quote:

"What happened last year with San Antonio? Did they run?" -Pat Riley

quote:

"What really cements a forever bond is going through what we did this year and staying the course." -Pat Riley

quote:

Pat Riley compares the Heat to a Broadway show "running out of steam" and says the team needs to "retool, not rebuild."

I'm not on the Lebron train either, but he did man up. High scorer on his team and he still shouldered the blame.....and he had nothing to do with his team losing - he can thank Wade,Photobomb Bosh and disappearing act Chalmers for that.

Also, Riley knows LeBron. Anything he says at this point is pushing whichever buttons he think need to be pushed in order to keep him in a Miami uniform. Maybe challenging him is the best way to get through to him.

Great way to motivate multi-millionaires who have been pampered for much of their lives.

Lebron ultimately holds the cards, but Wade determines if he even thinks about staying in Miami.

Wade and Bosh have to restructure to allow some flexibility. If they want to be paid equal to Lebron, there won't be enough money left for another contributor and Lebron may very well walk.

Wade needs to realize he's never going to be 2004 (or even 2011) Wade again and come to terms with that.

He wasn't talking about Lebron. Lebron was the only man in the damn series for Miami.
