His passing and dribbling abilities are exceptional for a 6'10" wing. With a consistent 3-point shot, Simmons is a defensive nightmare.

Kid is a team player. His stats usually just come in the flow of the game. His flaw may be he passes too much. He doesn't seem to force it too much, and just makes it look too easy...Very impressed with his demeanor, looks like a young Tim Duncan out there, just so fundamentally sound, smooth...

So he's been compared to the second best player in the world, also the greatest power forward in history of basketball. Awesome!

Didn't realize Simmons was playing in the FIBA world cup this summer, will be a good chance to watch him against top competition.

Why do people jump on those who compare styles of play with a young and established athlete.

Because comparisons need to be more realistic. Not with greatest power forward, or the second best player in world. That's not realistic.

Simmons is good, real good! But he doesn't need to be compared to those guys so people in here realize he's good.

I've heard that comparison too.

Because it's a pretty big thing to say that Simmons plays in a similar fashion to the second best player in the world.

ETA: Not to say that I disagree with the comparison. But I can see why some are reluctant to make it.

I would not compare his game to anyone, just let Ben Simmons be Ben Simmons. He has beautiful form on his jump shot and is just smooth on the court. If we can get J-Mart and Mickey to stick around those 3 as our 3 biggest on the court .

Especially with the way LSU plays or wants to play, and today's fast paced game, the traditional 1-5 PG-C have gone out the window.

Really the only time after about the 7th grade good coaches will use 1-5 as a system is only for lane assignments.
