going by FIFA video game ratings... Tim Howard
who actually achieved the highest overall player rating for an American ever in the game. He was rated 89 in FIFA 2005. That was his peak year as Manchester United's starting goalkeeper.

Tim Howard is our best player, but he's our keeper, so that gets overlooked.
Michael Bradley is our best outfield player, with Dempsey and Fabian Johnson behind him, IMO.
