I have a lot of shite going on in my life and my days are filled with stress between work, school at night, and family drama. That's my qualification of saying "it could happen".
Even with all the shite going on in my life, I never have forgotten about my son being in the car. And trust me, I'm far from being parent of the year and have had many, many chances to do it pulling 17 hour days from leaving driveway in the morning till coming back to it at night. And oh yeah, my job entails deadlines every single day.
I just have a hard time imagining somebody else with less on their plate could just forget.

Oh my god. This is not someone who forgot. Is everyone ignoring the evidence? Is it possible that someone could forget, yes. But this guy has too many other circumstances that make this a different case. I don't understand how people are still even using the word "forget". It is irrelevant at this point.
