We were always grateful for the taxicab the navy was.
Having said that, the Navy medics attached to our unit went right up to the front with us, and got shot at with us. I have a lot of respect for Navy medics. Seals probably too, but I have no experience with Seals.
In conclusion:
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines.
The third verse is always sang loudly. Shouted almost. Other branches of the service that we have saved always defer to us.
