Thank you for the explanation and breaking it down. I assume the odds of adding 2 seats next year are slim to none as well? I'm just glad these are Renewable and I will continue to donate my $100

You might get 2 in the upper deck. Most of the people in front of you are looking to upgrade or add near their current lower level seats and aren't interested in the upper decks. When I said earlier that the best I was offered in the past were singles in the upper south, I have always been offered pairs (or more) in the upper decks. Plus, there are people in front of you that sit in the upper decks and who have been giving for years. They may upgrade in the coming years leaving a pair near your current seats.

LSU had already taken many lower level seats away from visiting teams when the East Upper was built, however, I believe those seats were given to the TAF rather than being open up to the waiting list.

LSU is required by the SEC to provide 2000 lower bowl seats to opposing fans. 7k seats total minimal. LSU was being way too generous and provided 3500 seats in the lower bowl of to the other team. So now it should be 2k SEZ, 1.5k Upper SEZ, 3.5k EUD. Assuming they only give 7k.

Should have just paid my $10 to get on the waiting list.

Hoping for a pair in the East Upper next year

Sounds like the waiting list is pretty much exhausted. There are people getting pairs in the EU with one year of $100 TAF giving.

That's amazing. I feel bad for the people that have been giving for a decade or so and are just not getting a chance at a pair...that's pretty unfair.

I mean they were giving to LSU...not really unfair. There's no expectation of a return with that gift.

What are my chances at getting a EU pair with 10 Philanthropic points next year?

I've only donated $100 with TAF. I has assumed I would be on the waiting list for several years. But I had the opportunity to jump on tickets so I did. They are in EU but so be it. I would assume people who donated more had the opportunity but didn't pull the trigger? I'm sure me donating $100 I didn't get season tickets over someone who's donated several thousand unless they didn't pull the trigger and purchase?

I just didn't go on the waiting list this year. Didn't want to pony up the cash to pay for the tickets being that I already have a way to all the games. But I regret it now. Oh well.

I expected this. Especially with the ever constant price increases. Watch what happens when we have a couple of consecutive losing seasons...

I let my two seats go this season, and they weren't terrible in the SEZ. To me, it made more fiscal sense to simply pick up tickets to the four home games I actually wanted to go see.

The only reason I don't follow that trend of picking up tickets to the games I want to see is that I write off all of my tickets. I actually bought 4 extra tickets this year to go to 8 total but it is solely to write them off as a business expense.
There is no doubt now that with great TV and going to four important games a year is the right financial choice. I bet we see a trend of this start to develop which will open up seats in the near future.
I actually have considered just going to all away games to make it a great and different experience.

I have donated for at least 5 or 6 years and got 3 EU tickets. SEZ had just cleared out and I didn't want to pay for chairbacks in EU when I could sit two rows behind chairbacks with no TAF fee and cheaper tickets. (Really doesn't make sense how row ZZZZZ whatever costs the same as row L)

If you've been giving for a decade (like me), trust me, you got your chance this year to get four in the lower south. I could have gotten a couple of pair in the North.

I sign up (and pay my $10) for the waiting list every year. I've just been hopeful that I could find something contiguous with our group's block of tickets in the upper south (we've got about 22 total). One year I added one. All other years, the only thing I could get in the lower level were singles in the upper South nowhere near our group.

As I mentioned above, this year was a complete aberration. I have a couple friends (who have also been giving for about a dozen years) who are really pissed at themselves for not signing up for the waiting list this year. But, that's their fault. No one knew that the 1,500 lower south tickets were going to be available this year. LSU certainly didn't make those tickets available when they stuck visitors in the East Upper the year that was built. I suspect all those tickets went to the TAF -- and now the TAF has reached its state law limit in the lower bowl. In a sense, those of us who did sign up this year were just lucky. I can almost assure you, nothing like this will happen again -- at least not for a long, long time.

In the meantime, I'll be enjoying my FOUR COVERED seats in the lower south four rows from the top! No rain, very little sun, and a good view of the north replay scoreboard! Cha-CHING!
