Yeah and no there is always another jimmy like player somewhere. If you think shockey was just as good and put up some good numbers with us.

Read that back to yourself aloud so you hear how stupid that is.

First, it's the money.

Second, he's a catching tight end, not a blocker.

Third, where was he in the Seattle playoff game.

Trading him is best for the Saints.

Well this just dumb, because it depends on why they want him gone.

If he ends needing to get paid as a Top Flight WR and our FO does that then that will put us in a trick bag salary cap wise. We would be paying a player a sizeable % of salary cap money that is not a QB nor a true game changer. Holders article backs that up considering game changers dont get shut down by a single CB.

I think before writing off getting rid of him as a bad option, we should see how much money he is going to actually cost us.

You expressed the point better than me.

Good job.

1 game is a very small sample size. To let 1 game have any impact in this process is shortsighted and moronic.

This would only be true if he actually was set to receive a contract like Megatron, but he will not. What other target on this team is as much of a mismatch as he is? He is arguably a top 5 receiving threat in the league.

Is Jimmy worth 10-11 million? Abso-fricking-lutely, and I believe this is around what he will get. He is a major part of this offense.

Ok? He's the best "catching tight end" in the NFL.

Why not look at the big picture here? What has Jimmy done in New Orleans? He's done a lot. He played injured for most of the season. Yes, he did have tough games vs SEA and NE, but outside of that he was spectacular.

How good would Graham be if he didn't play with Brees?? It is not a coincidence that the best TEs typically play with the best QBs.

Graham is very good but I don't think the gap between Graham and a player like Jordan Cameron is all that big.
