350+ IIRC

291 per a quick google search for the EVO. Could have sworn it was over 300.

305 for the WRX STi.

Also if you aren't into the american muscle the Nissan 370 Zs are fast like 13.0s stock.

This. I love my 335i coupe.

I've also heard good things about the new M235i.

Yea those can be had for less than 50k

Only if you get one with a salvage title.

Hopefully the OP never is presented with a situation in which he needs to turn the wheel.

Add about 50-60 HP to that with intake, tune, and exhaust.

I feel like a price point is set for a reason. Because that's what can be afforded.

obviously the OP and I differ on setting price points. I always set mine lower for a security blanket. I never set the max at what I actually have to spend on a large purchase. TTL, transport, if you find the car and cant get ins. on it and have to haul it, or any unforeseen circumstances. everybody is different.

a used 2011 Z06 with 33k miles for 49K.

super light car, superfast, 505hp NA. Can't get much better bang for your buck. whether you like straight line fast and taking on the twisties. Add a head/cam/intake package and your pushing 600hp to the ground in a car that weighs about 3100lbs.

(the C7 Z06 with 650 horsepower is not even out yet and its supercharged)

True dat.

My advice to the OP would be; go out and drive all the cars you like in the price range then make a decision.

This is what I'd get. I'd look for a used e46 that's already been through the subframe and vanos repairs.
